Inspired by real-life events, Shannon Gentry’s suspense novel is about desperation, perseverance, and doing anything for love. The story follows the journey of a young, beautiful, successful sports agent in NYC, who is a pillar of the community.  Lila Tate is on top of the world, but she is living a deep secret of deceit, betrayal, and a dangerous past.  Her past begins to haunt her and she realizes that she may not be the only one keeping secrets.  The stakes get very high when she is pressed for time as someone from her past closes in on her, and she runs the risk of losing everything if her truth is revealed.  The suspense of the novel will keep you on the edge of your seat with finding out the truths and the unexpected twists reveal a chilling reality that she can’t run or hide from her past.
